What documents do I need to pick up the vehicle?

You need a valid driver's license (at least 1 year), an ID card or passport, and a credit card in the name of the main driver for the deposit.

Can I pick up and return the vehicle at the airport?

Yes, no problem. And completely without waiting times or standing in line.

Is comprehensive insurance included?

Yes, all our vehicles are fully insured. The deductible may vary depending on the insurance package booked.

Is there a mileage limit?

No, you can drive without a mileage limit with us. All kilometers are included in the rental price.

How is the rental car payment processed?

When booking, you pay 20% of the rental price to reserve your rental vehicle. The remaining payment is due upon pickup. This can be done by credit card or in cash.

Can I add an additional driver?

Yes, additional drivers can be added at the time of vehicle pickup.

I'm used to renting new cars; why does Mallorca-Mietwagen rent out older vehicles?

In Spain, minor accidents are common, and hit-and-run is not a crime. Our customers are often aware of this and know that it is nearly impossible to use a rental car for an extended period without incurring minor damages (e.g., to the bumper). If you do not take out an expensive comprehensive insurance policy WITHOUT a deductible, which usually doubles the rental price, the smallest damage to a new car will be charged to you. Rental cars must be presented for inspection every 28 days at other rental companies. Aside from the time involved, this means you risk the amount of the deposit every month as a deductible for damages. With us, it's different. You do not have to present the rental car unnecessarily every month. Lower risk of scratches and dents: Since older rental cars already have some wear and tear, it is less of an issue if you cause a scratch or dent. However, with a new car, this can lead to high costs. Less stress while driving: Since you worry less about scratches and dents with an older rental car, you can drive more relaxed and enjoy your vacation or business trip. Affordable price: Our rental prices are tightly calculated and often well below the usual prices in Mallorca. This would not be possible with new cars. Conclusion: Our vehicles are ideal for renters who want to get from A to B affordably. Car enthusiasts may not find what they are looking for with us.

My vehicle return is delayed – what should I do?

Please make sure to call our hotline. Since vehicles are often rented out immediately after return, a late return can lead to problems. We will find a solution together and help avoid unnecessary costs.

Contract data: for the rental period and beyond in accordance with statutory retention periods (in Spain generally 5 years after contract end)
Invoice data: 5 years under Spanish tax law
GPS data: deleted after rental end and deposit settlement
Server log files: maximum 30 days

The recording serves exclusively to protect our fleet and contractual rights. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

The data may be disclosed to competent authorities upon order.
